MISSION
The mission of the Wachusett Regional School District (WRSD)
Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is to work towards
the understanding of, respect for, support and appropriate education
for all children with special needs in the WRSD communities.

Our 2007-2008 Objectives are:
To hold regularly scheduled, well attended, productive meetings.
To establish a positive and productive relationship with the
School Committee, Superintendent, District staff and Families.
To create a constituency of families with children of special
needs, including students served by IEPs, 504 plans, Early
Intervention or are otherwise at risk, and all parties interested in
supporting these families in our community.
To update our by-laws, communications and other practices to
reflect the current member participation and changes to special
education law.
To participate, as appropriate, in the five year review of the district
expected to be performed by DOE over the coming school year by
representing families.
To establish effective chains of communication by creating a
network of contacts including liaisons to the school committee,
the superintendent and district staff, individual school principals
and PTO’s, and by promoting family to family networking.
The WRSD SEPAC was created in cooperation with the Wachusett Regional
School District In accordance with Massachusetts Education Laws and
Regulations [603 CMR 28.07 (4)]
